Small-batch roastery, est. six years ago
We roast for the second cup, not the photo of the first.
Root & Ridge buys direct from growers we've actually met, roasts in lots under 40kg, and writes the roast date on every bag — because coffee is produce, not a logo.

We don't chase a house style across every bean — each lot gets roasted to where its own sugars and acids actually want to land.
Light
Bright, floral, first crack only. Best for pour-over.
Light-medium
Balanced sweetness, still shows origin clearly.
Medium
Rounder body, less acidity, good all-day drinker.
Dark
Reserved for two espresso blends, nothing else.
On the bar this month
Small lots rotate as they run out — once a bag is gone we don't reorder the same one twice.
Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia
Washed, 1900m — jasmine, stone fruit, a clean short finish.
Light
Huila, Colombia
Honey-processed — brown sugar, red apple, syrupy body.
Light-medium
Mogiana, Brazil
Natural — hazelnut, cocoa nib, low acidity throughout.
Medium
Espresso House Blend
Brazil + Sumatra — built for milk, not for showing off.
Dark
Come stand at the bar while we brew it.
